very nice indeed, I'd tend to agree that the bg is a little distracting but I don't think its too bad. Nice colours, nice animation and quick to load too. Just one other point, there's no hand cursor when you roll over your portfolio links which lead me to believe they were't links at all. Just took me a little while to work it out.

Very good though overall, and you have the same design ethic as me, keep the design simple to draw focus to the content, good man! :D

Bout the background, thats just my style i guess. Hehe

The names of each section come through the background. I can see them move. This happens untill the page info appears.
I think this might have to do with the pixelshift phenomenon, as I had it myself too. Is that background on a whole pixel?

Maybe it has something to do with the movie being transparant?
