Yeah for some reason our hosting pulled the plug to their servers for security reasons. Just hold up and check back in a day or two!

Just to bust your glutius foo:
- How the hell do you pronounce that sheezy?
- A studio consists of MORE than 3 people
- Who in their right minds offer services that usually costs "around $1000" for only $300? A couple of brushes mixed with bevels doesn't qualify you to charge $1000 for anything.
- Wisconsin????

It is an unfortunate coincidence that the web configurations, which we don’t have access to, got corrupted an hour after that posting. It is also unfortunate that this forum is as professional as I thought it was.

We saw an opportunity to advertise are site so that is what we did. If your mostly developers why to do need this section? They might as well just delete it.

Yeah guys, I think a lot of comments here were highly inappropriate. There is a reason that there is a forum for Job Seekers. There is no reason to bash anyone, much less a new member to the forums. He did nothing wrong, and I for one am appalled that kirupaForum members would flame a new member so harshly, escpecially when he or she did nothing wrong.
I'm sorry on behalf of my fellow members Xucid, please give the forums another chance.
On another note, that second link that you provided didn't work for me either. I hope your hosting gets fixed soon. And I wish you the best of luck with your company.

I saw the site (it seems to be up now) and it looks nice! I personally have no need at this time for your services, but I will keep you in mind if I have any in the future.

The design isnt bad its nice and clean but in my experience with web design and etc. I don't believe 1000$ is an appropriate cost im sorry but that is a lot of money 1000$ would have to be VERY advanced like 2advanced.com , i mean its nice but 300$ imo would probably the limit on your site. but its good . 1000$ oh man if i could make that kindof cash easily with web design id quit my job right away =)!
Also i have a few suggestions , im not tyring to be braggy or anything but your site lacked a few simple common things that a site should have , the logo should act as a home button, your portfolio page had no active link which is a no no unless i missed it , other than that the site looks fine but how can you charge 1000 and up for that??? geez if i could make that kindof money every week with my skill in web design i seriouslt actually would quit my crappy job right away lol.

I can't believe people are CCing this guys "job seeker" post. Do you think anybody is going to come looking for this guy when they want a site after reading this thread?

2advanced wouldn't touch a site for $1000. I think they start around $5000, and probably with corporate clients they charge around $25K to $100K

cool stuff Xucid Studios!
I went through your portfolio section and for what i could make out from those thumbnails you have a pretty vibrant, colourful feel to your webdesigns, though i could not see much of those sites as the thumbs were to small, is it possible to get the url to the sites you created for your clients i would like to see them in action.

Exactly marble. I think they start off at 25000 or 30000 and move on to higher prices.
1000 bucks seperated for a company of 20 people? 50 bucks a person for a website? They would be poor...

Im not the worlds best at much of anything dealing with Flash. I can creat some pretty spiffy stuff and pull off some smoke and mirror effects and with that said I still charge $300 to start working on concepts. After that I charge $100 per link on the page HTML or flash. I can charge these prices because I sell myself to the customer. Just like in the music business; you dont have to be a good singer to market yourself to 100k salary. Its all about how you present yourself. Sure you need the skill to back it up, but with Kirupa forums you can learn just about anything your customer wants.
I say go for it and charge $1000 bucks for a site. Your only showing that you have the gutz to charge that and apparently you have the skill too.
Im just saying it can be done. And to go for it.
Nice site, we offer advise to help, not to break you down.

Sorry to put my nose into this thread, but since were on the subject of how much money gets charged for websites. Has anyone actually asked 2advancedstudios how much they would charge for a site? I mean they have that chat thing for q&a stuff, but I have never tried it. Does anyone actually know?

The quality of the site doesn't matter.
Job Seekers
If you are looking for a web/multimedia job, feel free to post your information here.
No where in there does it say:
a) Give your opinions on the site
b) Comment on the quality of the person's site or prices
This is up for the employer to decide, not yourself. If you wish to comment on sites, which you all seem oh-so-willing to do, post in the Showcase/Critiques forum. This forum is for potential employers, it gives them an easy avenue to find a web designer. Do you really think you're helping his company by dissing his site? If anything, you're costing him business. Sure his site isn't the best, sure his prices may not be competetive, but the amount of business his company receives will reflect this, you don't need to point these out. I suggest everyone who has negative comments, either PM them to him in a respectful fashion, or quite simply shut up. Grow up, this isn't just a hobbie for people, he might depend on this job to put food on the table, and you should feel d*mn guilty if he's not getting a job now because of your comments.
And for god's sake, if you're doing to diss his site, tell him how to improve it.

yeah, I don't see anything about a design service, all I see is a gaming server and some 404 error's, I'm confused and as soon as somebody's read this I'll delete it so I won't be any harm
