(technically) my first flash piece. This is a menu that I am doing, I still have to put in a small sound for the rollout, and probably do some kind of highlighting for the links. What do you all think of it so far?

Nicly done

Though the menu links are hard to read and It bothers me That you have to close the menu before opening an other one.. Maybe you could make it close when you click on another. ;)

Yeah I agree with T-O as well, it bugged me to have to close the menu before opening another. In fact it bugged me having to click the menu to see it, how about changing it so the user only has to rollover it and it opens?

The colour gives the menu a plasticy look (not sure if thats intentional) and the font needs changed. I couldn't read it either and I think most people would struggle.

Nice actionscript, rollover would be alot better.

I think there is too much bevel emboss going on there, kind of hard to read like t-o said. Personally, I like to make my menus very clean and crisp. Bevel emboss is good, but to an extent. Maybe the arrows you can just make regular intead of emboss but set them as an overlay so it blends on its backgrounds shape. I guess you are still working on it so, it will only get better. The menus flow nicely, once you figure out how to clos an existing menu when you open another one. Keep working on it bro.

yeah, I am trying to code it to get it to close the menu when another is clicked. I think the rollover is a great idea, thank you.

I agree it is not very clear, both the font and the emboss on it.

Do you think the buttons themselves look alright? or would you all recommend to go for something else. I am kind of fond of the button look to it though

thank you for all your comments

appreciate some opinions on which would be better to replace, for readability
