Diamond Mine/ Bejeweled

Please don't bite my head off. I'm new at games and new to the board. :( But i'm stuck! <!-- / icon and title --><!-- message -->

I'm begining to dabble in games and I would like to see how a peticular game is done. I'm trying to make a game similar to bejeweled or diamond mine in flash. I found source code for a game someone made but it was pre function flash 4 craziness. It's not really helping at all because the person who built it had to hack around the limitations of flash 4. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Anybody seen any resources around?<HR style="COLOR: #e2e2e2" SIZE=1>

I'm not familiar with the games you mention, but flashkit has a lot of open source for games - might find what you are after there - http://www.flashkit.com/movies/Games/

hmmmm bejeweled? if im correct thats on MSN messanger games? Very good game! It looks quite hard to build as its multiuser aswell, maybe search google for tutorials on multiuser games in flash. I havent really seen any resources on how to make a game like this but im sure there will be some somewhere on the net. Sorry i am not much help!

Diamond Mine? Wasn't that the Apogee game made in mid-90's?

Anyway, it sounds to me like you want to get a tile based 2D game.
