My First After Effects Attempt - Chapelles Show Logo

Yes it costs like 1000 bux for pro which is what I got. No I'm not rich because I didn't buy it. My dad did :P.

Yes it's my first attempt and no I did not use tutorials :). I just used sens tut on how to add keyframes, thats it :). And I did the rest myself. Logo made in photoshop. It was 1000 times better quality but I had to turn it down (quality).

I say my stuff sucks because you guys are better than me and yours compared to mine is probably embarrasing. And you guys probably wanna say "It's just a stupid messed up logo that comes in and glows a little"...but you guys are nice and dont say that.

Thanks for the comments by the way. If you have something made in AE, I'll be glad to see it because I'm really fascinated by special effects :thumb:.

Berk - I actually thought my wave effect was too choopy and long. But if you think its cool thanks :). Play around with the parameters of the ripple effect :).

1) Do you guys know what the Chapelles Show is? If so, do you watch it? It's on COMEDY CENTRAL.

2) The movie was 2.5 MB. How long does it take to load? Took like 3 seconds for me.

@ vladdrac, After effects has been out since early times, the first version of AE i saw was 4.0 (if i remember correctly) ,it been around for 5-6 years.

lol, Sharif yeah it was me that created that tutorial, glad it helped you out. ;)

@ dru, There is some tricks to get AE in flash without too much of a kb jump and too much fuss. There is a export to swf, but i would use that when you are animating simple things like vector graphics. AE looks strongly to be a element of future webdesigns (when using flash to create a cinematic style).

Chapelle show is a favourite, in Australia we only could catch it on a local station on monday nights around 8-9pm. I heard they are going to show it on The Comedy Channel. I think the show is great, R-kelly tease (Pi_ss on you) was too funny, also a phrase he used "Com'on tittie" is part of my everyday sayings with my mates. :P

AE = element of future, I strongly agree. Im going to have to get my hands on that sooner or later. I just saw a site too, it was strongly integrating AE into the movie. I'm sure you saw it....in the intro it shows a spider crawling onto their logo from behing it, then it fuzzes out like tv snow. (I can't remember the address).

Chappelle is brilliant! I highly recommend copping his dvd of the 1st season.(and the 2nd when it comes out) Heres a link for it, and theres also this bad a** skateboarding game someone made of him on there. Hilarious!
