Okay, so I am working on a banner for a website. The website is used to help people set up moving (like houses and such), so I tried to use things that I thought related to travel and moving. It's tough, for me anyway.
tell me whatcha think, anything welcome.

Well first off they don't fit on 1024x768.

Where will you be using this "banner"?

yea thats huge... but anyways.. the second one is more clearer but i think if you darken the text on the first one it would be better

you are correct, I am bad at making thigns for other users. My screen is big, and I don't like changing resolution. I will change it, for some reason I set it at that height and width...

I'll not mention the width because it obvious you know thats a problem and you're going to change it.

I agree with Weazol, darken the text on the first image and it would be quite good but I think I'd still prefer the second one. By the way the first image, the plane with the red stripe, seemed a bit blurred to me.

Other than that they look good and professional, well done Radio

It makes me think about travel but not "Moving." I'd say something about the size but i think you've already heard enough about that.

To repeat, it's too big and people hate readjusting resolutions just to see a banner.
The first one seems a little busy, maybe stick to all vector or all raster images.
Try to use something lighter and get your name in there a little more obvious.

Okay I get the picture guys! It's too big. So I went and resized at least one of them, I added the link to the top, and here it is here:

I haven't really ever made a banner and since my resoultion is quite large I am always sorta unsure what size it should be. Tips on resizing and what I need to do might be better than continually repeating that it needs to be resized. For this I just took what Ethan said about 1024, and hit image size to 1024 on width.
I'll work on the other things you guys pointed out later, just wanted to get that over with :P
thanks

Now that I see the whole thing without scrolling it looks too busy and inconsistent. I have a feeling that when the site is done the banner will draw too much atention away from the content. The simplest way you could fix that problem, without redesigning the whole thing, would be to make the banner monochromatic.
