Site Layout Check pls

Hey guys,

I am working on my own site
(actually it should become my first 'real' flash-site).

As for now there is only the index-site with an enter button plus the layout of what is to become the main site.

I'd really appreciate if you could give me some constructive feedback.

the only thing I would consider would be to possibly either change the menu to a solid black color or fade the pattern down a few notches. The boxes in the nav are a bit distracting as they are right now. Other than that it's looking pretty dang sharp. Looking forward to seeing how you trick it out in Flash!

i agree w/jbudd on the menu pattern and such. i would also raise the quality of the header a little.

The first thing that struk me was that the background(the text area, i guess) was white, and it din't really fit in whit the rest, but i guess you where going to change that anyway. other than that i like it, nice design.

The red colour on the top doesnt mix too well with the b/w you have on the rest of the site. It's too striking with a too great contrast...IMO ;)

the image on the header to me seemed a little poor quality. I think the design is good but I think the dot texture drowns out the design. The side pics down span 100% down the page.

I agree that the banner's quality is too low, unfortunately I don't have a better pic of that drop-theme but anyways, I look at it as a draft and I'll try to make a better pic on my own or try something similar. Thanks for that input!
True, the white area in the middle is for the content and this white surface is a bit distracting but it is going to be filled as soon as I got the pics I need to start with the content.
Another THX for the comment on the dots, I'll increase their transparancy so the main character of the design is not influenced too heavily by them.
The red color of the logo is wanted to attract attention but I guess there will be ways to implement it in a more harmonious way (probably with another pic).

I increased the transparency of the dots now and changed the banner...

one thing i might add, and you're having the same problem as i'm having; when the browser window is maximized, everything is allright, but try to decrease the width of the window, you can see that everything is messed up, the center thingy on the maximized window oughta be centered in the smaller window too. if anyone has any solutions on that, i'd be glad to hear them too :)
