hi all,

got a little problem here. i've created something in ps and now i want to export is as a transparent png-file (mainly to keep the drop shadow i put on the object) i've exported it through help -> export transparant image and i created a png. when i open this file in my office 2004 picture viewer all seems well, nice transparent and all, but when i import it in dreamweaver, it's not transparent anymore.

anyone got a clue how to solve this?

IE doesn't support PNG. For your drop shadows I'd suggest that you make a 6px X 1px PS file and have px 1 be 80% black, px 2 be 60% black, px 3 40% black etc... and then set up your tables to accomodate the drop shadow for your pictures. This is a really great way to be efficent and still maintain the look you're going for.

Why not leave the background layer transparent and then just save it as a png?

Actually, it supports PNG-8 just fine ;)

so you mean create a table in dreamweaver, with in one column the picture without shadow and in the next column as background the ps file with the shade, am i right?

Too much work. You shouldn't need to do this.
