Problem with Hit Counter

Hi all, I'm new to Front Page and hope someone can help to solve the problem.

Everytime when I try to create a hit counter on my website, instead of showing the image, it shows "[Hit Counter]" on the website.

May I know how can I solve this problem and make this thing work on my web? Thank you.

are you just looking at it on your local hard drive? or have you tried uploading it?
i havent played too much with hit counters, but fp might include a js script, that you need to upload before it will work.

if not, get a free counter somewhere like hostedscripts.com or sparklit.com etc; and just insert the html yourself.

Hey klnaj,
The problem is that you do not have the FrontPage Server Extensions installed on your server. If they are installed, they are probably not configured properly. Reinstalling the FP extensions should solve your problem.
