Hey Guys,
Always been burning songs as per normal but i was wondering if you can somehow fit more songs that an average of 15 or so tracks per 700mb cdr. Anyway to increase track numbers? My friend somehow can fit 160 on a cdr :?

you are burning wav
he is burning MP3
EDIT
Perhaps I shall elaborate.
If you are using 95-98 you will need a program to burn your mp3’s to cd.
If you are using XP, put in a blank disk, drag the songs you want onto it. Tell it to burn, it will as you what type of cd you want to make.
I think its the second option, data cd…
(can be used in some cd players) or something like that.

nar thats not it but i found out for myself. I usually use the audio format because well its the standard for burning cds for my cd-player. What i didnt know is and i completely unrealised about it is that once the mp3s are burned, they become wav. format. Since this, the sequence of audio format also takes the Min format of the cd and not how much space the cdr has. For placing more tracks, i needed to put it has "Data" format which relies on mbs. But unforuntaely my cd-player is not new as this is a standard feature on new cd-players. :(

I thought you meant as a music cd-rom, oops.
I backup all my cd's and put them as mp3's on a disc. It's great having 6 albums on the one disc.

I think I misunderstood what actually happened, so he has an mp3 (file) cd player, not regular audio cd player?

yeh it plays mp3/cdrw format. I think he save the mp3 files as data format and since his player is relatively new, it can pick up that format unlike mine.

yah, jsut make sure that it says it can play mp3 discs, I think that's what it should say. I gotta get one fer my car... actually want to put a small hd and touch screen in my car that would be su-weet haha. That way I can go through my files on a touchscreen. Most of my friends don't see the coolness of this.

haha yah I don't really have money for this, I think that's what they don't like, the un-practicalness of it all. They don't get that I have my music ordered pretty meticulously, by band name, some say that that the touchscreen would be overkill or something. I don't know. Do any companys make this sort of thing?
