and at www.macafee.com *if i spelled that right*

it saved my computer

at first i didnt think it was a virus, then i called dell support cuz i got a blue screen and it told me to cantact dell. They said the "line" was too long cuz everyone was calling for the same problem. So they put all the info on how to get rid of it as the waiting music stuff

thanks for the link, i thought i had 2 virus's

i got the lassle.exe thing or w/e, then i got the microsoft patch and it got fixed....then i got a blue screen whenever i restart.

maybe i still have the blue screen problem......ill restart my comp and find out

the ms update didnt get rid of the virus, but once i got it the popup didnt come up anymore, instead the screen went blue and had all this weird stuff on it.

the remover from symantec worked.

My wife picked it up last night, but the new version of SpyBot popped up and said: "LSas.exe attempted to modify an important registry entry, do you want to allow it?", and I said: "NO!"

I like the updated firewall in XP SP2 :) It is better than the original one that I never used hehe.

My Windows is fairly up-to-date for I have updates download automatically, so hopefully I am safe hehe.

Strange Tim - I was able to download the .NET Framework yesterday from Windows Update: http://test.v5.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/v5consumer/default.aspx?ln=en

Do you have the RC version from MS's site or a more recent version from other sites?

I use Firefox, but I specifically opened IE to try to goto windows update, and it said there was an error.... the same message I get if I open the page in Firefox...

i cant get my firewall to work and i dont really want to pay for one.

But i know someone who cant host online games because he has a firewall, he must join all games he plays. Maybe this is only a certain firewall?

use windows firewall if you want but in some instances like some file download, you need to turn it off or like msn related. Just keep your virus defns updated, use norton internet security if you like or any other like mcaffe.

yeh, i dont wanna turn off a firewall everytime i want to dl sumtin....cuz i dl stuff a lot.

and i cant upgrade my nortan dfns cuz my subscription expired..... ill go pay for it sometime
