The very first day I provide my new web address to a pair of prospective clients, and my host at Ipowerweb is down.

mine and PHils are working fine. How long ago did you set up your account. It may take some time for everything to actually be set and stable refering to your account, ips, and domain...

Seems like I'm back up now. Ipowerweb had a message on their site acknowledging the "technical difficulties" which they said affected only a "few" customers. I'd heard there were some internet attacks over the weekend, so maybe this is part of that.
Jub', I've been up for a almost two weeks with them and absolutely no problems until this morning, when the first sign of trouble appears as I'm on the phone with a prospective client, and some of my pages won't open. After I got off the phone, I had the same trouble with pages not opening, and later, it was down altogether.
I've still got a lot of work to do there, so I really haven't had my "grand opening" yet, but I had debugged things to a point approaching acceptibility, and thought I'd give it a go today.
It's just one of those things, I guess, but the timing couldn't have been worse. (Don't say that! - it could always be worse.
Thanks,

Yeah, it doesn't happen often but it seems that it always happens at the worse times. I have never had a problem with my site being down, although it probably has happened, just not when I checked it. Hopefully everything will be straightened out soon.

I use www.domaindirect.com aka tucows . Love the name :). Big company, works fine too.
