Hi guys:

I am looking for a 3d model for a rifle like the ones used to hunt elephants... this if for the intro a a college presentation for next week so any help ASAP would be greatly apreciated... thanks in advanced.

It may not be what you're looking for exactly, but there's a book I found on Amazon called How To Draw Manga: Guns and Military. I know you're not after the manga style, but it does show you how to draw weaponry, in very realistic detail (not at all cartoon-ish).

I know of some free tutorials on making a gun....what program you using?

hhmmmmm.....good point cowboy. well if he is asking for the model...he has to open it somewhere? If he was just asking for a jpg I would have instructed him to google. But I guess he could have just used the wrong term...oh well...he has enough to get him started.

sorry for the late response... well the truth is that it can be any program. I would do it (I have dont anything like that but with a good tut, it would be easy)but I really don't have the time to. college have me pretty busy lately...
