by the way, the black is black and the white is white. there are only 4 tab thingys. when i render out something of that color it does NOT show the purple. but when im drawing it hella shows the purple. i tried uninstalling and reinstalling but no good.

so when you config the gradient it shows purple...but when you actually use the gradient in your composition it shows up right?
Cause that screenshot shows the middle colors being purple on your color picker...perhaps there is more than one tab on the far left - i've had weird color things happen because I had more than one selector to the left...

nope double check that stuff. i made sure my 2 colors are black and white. 2 bottom tabs only... when i draw, its purple, when i make it a jpg or something, its gray.

thats strange, dosent look like its K (black) might be a mixture of colours that are making black... hmmm... you tried hitting D on the keyboard to get the default colour before looking into the gradient?

ermmm i can only think of layer modes is it set to normal or summit? cos might be interacting with the layer below?
ermmm if u configed ur gradiant just go over all the settings to make sure u didnt add purple in there.
hummm?? strange
