holy crap...I actually have to change some things on our site that closely resemble this site. I never seen this site, but there are those who would think I sort of ripped them......DAMMMMMMMMIT

But it is nicely done

A few nice animations here and there. It's not that great overall. The only outstanding thing is the spider/logo and the aftereffect buttons. The interface is a bit plain.. boring. I'd have to say the music is really kool =)

good but not that good. Dont get me wrong, its amazing but FI and 2a got it beat, i mean i can spot the inspiratiion for a lot of those parts. You probably do to.

WHOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAA!

That site kicks major arse! Great find mdpi!

RB the site is still under construction.

MTsoul

Seems like they just launched the site/company officially today. Nothing in portfolio yet

*Edit* - I think they used some of the other site's sounds. Like in the beginning, the Metal expanding sound.. sounds so familiar..

Woah, just noticed, FI changed their name, and their company. It's like some big.. cartoon media thingie now. What's with that?

DDD
April 20th, 2004, 09:17 PM
actually the interface is rather bland....but the animations are sweet.

can i ask a stupid question?
I know everyone loves 2advanced, but I guess Ive never really been sure why. What is it that makes them so great?

No thank you. Not that bad, but not as good as sites like xm2, 2a, FI, Flashlevel, etc.

One thing that REALLY annoyed me was the lack of good English grammar and stucture. Seriously, read through a lot on the site and it just looks funny.

i think people like 2a because they really pushed the envelope so to speak way back when......but there has been many studios IMO that have surpassed them on presentation. Maybe not portfolio but the site is much better. Whowe is one of them....And hopefully ours :beam:

cool nice site, the whole thing reminds me of spider man the movie, music, "spider" interface, animations, sorta like a promo for spider man 2 or something.

nathan that just sucks to have that happen to you, but on the lighter side, if you have similar or even better 3d / ae work than this i just cant wait for your site. should be awesome ! :thumb:

mdipi

the animations are what make the site.

edit: ok so there is a second page now lol.

yeah nathan, they really did it at the begining, so people fell in love with them, i never saw anything all that specail :-/

im one of those people who like 2a regarding their old site, v2. because that was innovative. but i agree with nathan Whoswe.com was one of my favourite sites for what seems like ages.

the interface is kinda bland. this looks preliminary, though. it seems they can do a lot better and they haven't released everything yet. looks promising, though.

doesn't that music sound a lot like something out of Star Wars?

and yeah, lots of grammar errors. I'm guessing they're not from around these parts.

The site looks nice. I guess I am not really into the futuristic designs that I once used to like though. I like the more traditional designs more and more now-a-days :)

I'm not sure which site you heard it at, but i'm sure that it's also used or rather was used first in the mmorts Shattered Galaxy (entering lab sound)

Other than that, I must say that it looks abit impressive. However the interface gets boring. The entry looked promising, but it was disappointing after that.
main thing that impresses me in the shiny stuff in the top left that changes with each section. how'd they do that?

I think it's pretty great, it has nice effects, animations and rollovers, the overall feel is good as well... Although it seems as if there's something missing...Dunno what though.

Nice site overall.

i keep finding more grammar errors...
They are from Kiev in the Ukraine guys so go easy on hammering them about their grammar and spelling . . . :smirk:

I like the site, think its pretty sweet, but agree with Kirupa that the whole metal/machine/futuristic look gets kinda tired after awhile. Like the spider though and REALLY dig the rollout effect - how the solid metal look appears to vaporize to steam.

Any ideas how that is done? How does one get that kind of texture in flash? And kept small enough to be that smoothly animated? :ear:
