New site by the chimp...

Yay, i'm almost (almost) done with my new site but I am majorly dissapointed! It's soooooo slowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww! Any way I can fix this, speed up the frame rate? Or do I just have too much data going at once? Check it out www.radioactivechimp.com

Wasn't slow here (broadband). In fact it was hella fast! The colors are a little out of control for my taste but maybe it was more the fact that it's hard to read small white text across three different background colors.

Otherwise the animation is cool and I like the transition effects you've got going on! :thumb:

Oh yeah, and I dig the font you used as well . . . :)

man i like it, HUGE impovment :) It didn't seem to slow to me but whatever. the rollover is kinda annoying bouncing like that but thats just an opinion thing.

The only thing i would say to change is the 'made on a mac' thing lol. I just couldn't resist saying that, even though my only experience with a mac has been awesome (ipod)

I dont know why but that sun graphic that looks really cool by the way, keeps reminding me of DanceMania background graphics. I can't figure out why though. LoOks GOOD!

wow man nice I love the palm trees you added, and I see you resolved that ol made on a mac thing :D And, I know I said this before, maybe you like em, but the bouncing link thing is annoying to me, heh. It loads fast enough fer me, but then lags when I'm movin the mouse around, but it's hard to tell on these crappy school computers about anything.

oh hehe I just checked it now and it looked fine, I guess I had a lot of apps open last night. I went crazy:crazy: with the colors because if you saw my last site, is was very bland (green UPPERCASE TEXT on a black background)

Just to add the kinda rewind - forward effect. Thats just me though.

maybe have them jsut change colors... fade to a nice blue or something... you could make the scrolling background stop (and throw in a schreeching tire sound too! haha jk). But I don't think they need much more than a fade to color effect.

Thanks for the great reviews people! It means a lot to me cause I'm really just starting out and this is my first real approach to Flash! Oh and I got that sun idea after watching Spirited Away!:)

mine works great. sweet site chimp. two things, you might want to put it in a table and set the other cells to 100% so your site stays at absolute center. also, you scrollbar on all the text, the orange object over the blue column is off set and a little wide, you might want to fix that. looking good. of course it was made on a mac. it would be worse if it wasnt.

hey chimp :), it is actually a pretty nice site for first. You could possibly cnetred it and choose another font. Keep working on it :)

I think you might have to embed your fonts. I'm looking at Times New Roman all over.

Yeah I need to embed sorry people I have 04-25 pixel font there :ne:. Anything else I can fix besides embeding the fonts, playing around with the rollovers and centering? Does anyone want sounds? I donno I have been working with it night and day for so long now I'm starting to get sick of it :).
