Hello-

I am working on my site www.destreedesign.com and I was wondering if I can get some opinions on what I have so far. I still have a lot to do! but I want to get an idea.

I like the design...there aren't enough web sites with orange graphics.

Like the logo, better rollover on the buttons might be called for and maybe you should do something with the black surronding the white box.

When I click showcase it loads a smaller box that offers two options...I wouldn't go to that much bother to present two options. I think you should remove the showcase option from the menu and replace them with the web and photography options.

I thought you were from the Wisconsin area! Too bad I was off by a few miles. I thought you were from the Sturgeon Bay area (my home town) because a lot of those businesses were in that area.

oh yeah, about the site:

the splash page.... I would make it so its' a little bigger, then have the orange halo gradually fade to black. i dontlike how it comes to an abrupt end becuase its the end of the image.

and RadBell is right: change your nav just a lil.

Sturgeon Bay is an awesome town :) My parents both come from there and both my grandparents still live there. I also shoot trap at the Gardner riffle club. Do you know where that is?

the site is K but add some animations o the sections, as I could only see animation when the transitions were triggered.

i like that is all different sizes. thats quite cool. I cant believe nobody has mentioned it, but plesae get rid of that bastard pop up window. thatd look great set in to the browser. I agree a little more animation would improve the site a lot. And, in the photography bit, it was a little slow moving from photo to photo, i would just keep that part all one size to speed up the browsing. Lovely doggie by the way. Aaah. I really like the simplicity and the colours. I agree with rabbell, orange is underated and underused. Overall, i like.

Center the popup please! The site is simple, focused on minimalist design; I like that. However you can still improve some areas, the splash looks a bit lost on high resolutions and the popup lacks of new things...

You have made a good start. The splash page was pretty simple and thats is good because you shouldnt overdo a splash. You have used a darker background color and a lighter for your interface and incorporated a resizable menu. Add some more images or a small music loop for added attention to your site but a thing shouldn't do is making your site a [js] popup. A trend that should not continue. Its should be user-friendly and _main should be efficient.
