hello, i downloaded photo shop and i was wondering how can i create a simple web site logo for my web. this is really confusing and i need help

Alex: Firstly, you could look at the sticky thread at the top of this forum at all the tutorial lists, and do a few of those that you think might help.

Also, if you know what you want, why don't you explain it and people can help you from there... text? simple shapes? it's easier when you know what you want

Thirdly, are you good at drawing by hand? if so, why not do some background idea development and then scan it in. If you are REALLY precise, you could even do the whole logo and then just scan and colour it on computer... it really depends

perhaps they changed, coz in the ps5/6 versions you cant save anything. Good change :beam:

it is a 30 day trial. i got it from the downloads on there site. i wouldnt want any illegal software on my computer:-\

i made a cool logo and i tried to add some text and it was showing up black. how can i change this.

i have tried everything that icould think of to try to change the color of the text. here it the problem

i made a design and i added text to it. but the problem is i cant get that text to show up.
what am i missing here.

make sure the text layer is on top....

so if you started out if a white background, make a new layer, always leave the background layer intact.
in the new layer make your logo,
then above that enter your text!!
remember to rasterize the text by going to Layer >Rasterize >Type so you can do things to the text

oh yea when you are typing in the text, look at toolbar at top right, you will see color, make sure it isn't the same as the background color! =)
