View Full Version : [FMX] New to AS recommendations

Hello! I am looking for opinions on the best way to approach getting into actionscripting. I am a designer who wants to be able to learn as much as possible, and have been able to grasp some very basic concepts. I have not found many resources on the web that help really get an understanding of AS, so I am looking for a good book.
I saw that some others recommended the Flash MX Designer's ActionScript Reference from Friends of Ed. All guidance on this subject is appreciated

I just started learning ActionScript a month ago and found the PeachPit Press book, Flash MX Advanced by Chun, to be a wonderful resource. It is the best book I've seen, once you take into account the price and coverage. I've also learned a lot from the tutorials on this forum.
