Hi guys, any idea how those semi transparent splash screens are configured? Like the one on latest Adobe Acrobat reader?
Is it some plain .png, then inserted to app, through another software, or what?
Any info appreciated

Sorry if not being clear enough, but I am not interested in something made in Flash( to publish like windowless?). Nor will it run under a browser.
I meant the splash screen for a custom made software run under Windows or Mac..
Software is made, just needs a splash screen, and I was interested how to make it?
As I thought, .png will be the best choice.
But thanks

hi divarch!
*.png is the only way to go, if you want 256 levels of transparency (like the acrobat splash).
wait, no: i know fruityloops uses 2 images, one for the actual color, and another grayscale mask, that acts like an alpha-channel.
check www.flashants.com for making transparent Projector files out of SWFs
or www.northcode.com (which also adds filesystem functionality!!!)
hope it helps! :cons:
