Hello Guys
Please have a look at www.jasninder.com
the flash version and right at the start when you see my logo guy walking , the scene slows up a bit...its not smooth, i tried various stuff but it seems to just happen at that point of time only and also i find the whole site not so smooth and kinda heavy on the system.
Am i overdoing something?
Help / Advices appriciated.
Thanks in advance :)

just some thoughts (on the flash version of your site only): :)
the tft-display could be cut out more carefully, the white pixels on the left side kind of caught my eye pretty fast, i'd also try to either make that display stand out more (with a reflection or a shadow or something...) or - what would most likely be best - blend it more to the rest of the site by adjusting the color to one of the major colors of your site (orange, white or grey)
i'd also remove the fast moving black text at portfolio (at the bottom) it doesn't add anything to the site while it gets annoying when trying to read the text above
while your orange "shivering" buttons are quite nice, the sub menu type in grey is too hard on the eye
just my opinion tho, don't take it too serious, i'm far from being a pro... ;)

Personally I can't help you but I do have a few site addresses that me help you with 2d character movement.
http://userwww.sfsu.edu/~jkv4edu/2DMG/resources/infoshts/2dmg_ps_of_animation.pdf
http://www.cs.ubc.ca/~van/papers/cas2k-mac.pdf
And this one for inspiration to see how others animate 2d characters.

Hope I've helped but like everything I think your problem lies in a lot or 'trial and error'. Looks like you've got a lot of straining hours of testing ahead.
Good luck!

The little fella walked along alright for me. However i noticed a few other things:
1) The preloader read 100% but the bar hadnt filled all the way.
2) The guy walking along during the preload, is he meant to appear flicky? The animation here is flickery (is that what you meant by 'right at the start'?
3) I have to keep my mouse over the (for example) portfolio>website button to read about that bit, I dont think its a good idea to make several lines of text appear on rollover, especially as its important. In addition theres that annoying clicking sound on the buttons when rolled over, which means I have to listen to that while I read what you've wrote, didnt like that sorry.
On the whole its not bad.

Viru.

I dont knwo about the prelaoder, its working fine allover, you mean when the site is preloading and that guy ( me  ) is walking, its blinking? :puzzle:
The problem comes after the site is loaded and main page appears..the guy when he enters the scene appears slowly..then take 2-3 quick steps and then go easy (its nto going easy ..i think its using more resources..not smooth)I will post it up here..the intro part. yea its annoyingly untidy there :(
about the button rollover..i have bigger plans..i will change taht and will have a movie loaded there with all my portfolio..i am working on it.You r right about the annoying onover sound..i will change that, good point.
I am glad its not too bad according to ya, floats my boat m8 :)

maybe your guy doesnt have enough walking frames.. And it looks like he's moonwalking, his steps are quicker than his pace.. But he rocks :beam:

and i rrrrreally dont like the mirror cursor thing on the splash page!! i thout sum1 was hackin into me comp or sumit!! lmao
but to the subject at hand? the dood walked pretty smooth for me... just outta interest... culd u put him in as a separate movie (as in separate .swf) and then load him in ther so he (hopefully) runs independant from rest of loading? dunno
