I'm just curious what this Turbo button on my keyboard is for?
I googled 'turbo button' and found a few different weird explanations for it.
Can anyone offer any insight? Will it take me out of the Matrix or what?

I thought those turbo buttons were usually on the computer and not the keyboard. never actually seen one on a keyboard before.
anyway, if it functions like the buttons i'm talking about, it increases your bus speed to your CPU a bit so you get an overall improvement.

1.Raise your arms and face the sky (or ceiling).
2.Cry out: "Gods of Turbo, I appeal you!"
3.Wait for sky or ceiling to split open
4.Then yell out: "Karashnoodzia!"
5.Let the lightning penetrate your computer
6.Wait for the ceiling/sky to close again and go back to work.

Turbo?? What CPU do you have. It was my understanding that the last chips to use that were the good old 486's. To my knowledge it won't work on Pentiums. Unless you might have some crazy system that will let your over-clock with the press of a button, in which case thats way cool. Wanna give us some details on your sys there Canadian?

maybe its like the "autofire" on 3rd party game console controllers...

Thats what I was thinking. The "turbo" button on 3rd party console controllers usually repeats the last button press over and over and over until you turn it off, giving you an advantage in some games.

Well, I remember good old 486 days, where we had the turbo button to increase the speed (or lower it, if necessary, i.e. because a programm was running too fast) but I can't see it on my keyboard *looks over the keyboard* well there are the "Order Pizza", "Order Pizza+ beer", "erase European Mars probe", "Hack Actionscript.org", and the "make US- president say something dumb" Button

Now that is the solution, McGiver always sleeps on his keyboard and presses the "make US- president say something dumb" button.......
there you go

My 486 case has a turbo button on it, but I've changed it around so it's a Penium now, and as said, no longer does Turbo.
