Have you ever had one of those meetings with a new client and feel as if you can do no wrong? I just had one this morning and I feel great! This project will be the biggest one I've ever embarked on by myself and I'm so stoked about it.

I gave such a killer presentation that everyone walked out of the meeting grinning ear to ear and excited to do business. I intially thought we'd meet, I'd give a presentation and be there only an hour. Three ours later I've got the president, vice president, resort manager and two other people hanging on my every word. They wouldn't let me leave the **** place! I must of said goodbye and shook hands with everyone at least 6 times. The secretary was in disbelief when the president called her in and had her cancell everyone's morning meetings so we could continue talking. I felt like I was Tom Cruise in the firm (but in a good way).

Anyways, I'm going back there on Monday and they're gonna cut me a fat check and then I'll really get to work. I've known the owner of this resort for awhile but I had no idea he'd receive me this well in a business setting. I'm so excited and I only hope that this isn't too good to be true.

Telekinesis, I like to remain annonymous on kirupaforum. I've had people contact me through forums and I didn't really feel comfortable about it. Kirupaforum is like my guilty pleasure.

I hope you understand.

awesome CanadianGuy. I've had a few of those myself, and it's ALWAYS
the greatest feeling. Even after a few of them in a row, the feeling isn't
going to get any duller. It's a great eh?

Oh wait, sorry about that. Didn't meant to sound Canadian. ;) :P

Congrats CanadianGuy. :thumb:

Thanks for the Congrats fellas!

I was so pumped up afterwards I drove like a maniac all the way home which is about an hour away. I took all back roads, had the tunes cranked and I was going like a bat out of h3ll.:hr: :beam:

Man that feeling is indescribable!

Sounds like fun. :thumb: Congrats. I'm starting to lean in the direction of not giving out my IM screen-names, I've been getting 10+ messages a day with "Help me out!" and all that. Its getting to the point where I don't give my SN out to anyone.

I get emails and PM's usually about my alpha graphics fade tutorial on kirupa or how I made my footer.

I don't give out my AIM screen name here. For the last 2 years I haven't, people get annoying. I don't mind them seeing web sites though.

Aw that sucks Colin. It doesn't bother me when people PM me here but I've had a few strange phone calls that made me really uncomfortable and annoyed. My theory is that internet forums are an escape from the pressures and stress of real life. You can kinda form friendships here but you have none of the responsibilities of a real friendship.

gj CG sounds cool. I was just about to ask about your portfolio too....a few mods have mine (IM) and a couple of regulars here at kirupa (aside from the few folks that call me an A**hole only to realize they typed in the wrong screen *cough* Ahmed *cough* its all good)....I get alot of PS questions.
