and well we all have our own tastes for what gun we choose.

Im torn between the D-Eagle M1A2 and The good old sniper rifle.

I went with the M1 though.

I dont know about lightning and rail guns. I typically go for "relitivly realistic" military shooters.

I just dont like running around a room praying and spraying over and over. Its the stealth and the strategy of the frag that gets me going

Fester, I totally agree with you man, stealth is way better, and it requires way more skill to be stealthy and kill, then running around with flame throwers and rockets blasting like mad.
Yeah, when I was like 7, I love Unreal, but then I finally found Rainbow Six and Counter-strike, and realized that all these "Real Games" are so much more fun then the dumb "laser beam shooters and cow launching rockets laser pulses".
So don't tell me I need to learn about my favorite FPS games.
My point is settled.
Oh and I asked thor to put up some of those fake guns up for y'all so we can really see which is gun is the best.

I tell you I love useing all guns, I dont have a fav gun. Man after a long day of tense adrenilen pumping ownage, I like to let lose at the end of the day and just n00b it up, rockets shotguns nade spamming anything you call n00bish I do it, its always fun to laugh at people who wont stop *****ing at you cause you killed the "unfairly". If you went to a war you get shot by a rocket but you cant flame the player cause hes is a n00b.... youve died and theres nothing you can do but rot. I say take the n00b kill like a man and laugh at it(cause most of the time they n00bish kills are funny)

I personally like rocket launchers. they inflict the most amount of damage in a given area.

True, it's a cheap weapon. I still use the precision ones as well anyway. Quite frankly, if I had a choice between a rocket launcher and a sniper rifle, i'd definitely go with the snipe; less chance of killing myself ;)

you've obviously not played a whole load of q3 then grinch. you have to be deadly accurate and smart with the rocket launcher when you play against the big boys. Spam might hold people back.. but it won't stop them..

cowboy, I've played a lot, I mean a lot of Unreal and Quake buddy. I mastered the rockets, always firing rockets right by there feet when the landed! It was mayhem, but I like being smart, shooting only when needed, not running out, firing 9999 rockets everywhere! I'm not a Spray and Pray kind of guy.
But just because so many of you would like the rockets, I got 'em there for yeah! :D
I've played a lot of Quakes, and I remember when I got Unreal gold and Q3. Aw, good times.

Anywho, I picked the sniper rifle. What can I say? I just have a weak spot for them.

In any game, I prefer the sniper rifle. Except for heavy fragging games like UT2k3, then the rocket launcher and nail gun are my favs... Except when playing InstaGib, which pwnz as well =)

But when playing like MOHAA, the sniper rifle rulez... And it's the weapon I'm best at as well. Spot movement, Zoom, Shoot, Kill. Done.

I added a couple of entries including rocket launcher.

Personaly my favorite weapon is the tau-cannon from HL. In addition, it is my least favorite weapon for other people to be using against me. I like it because you can use it to jump long distances, as well as the fact that it will cause splash damage on the opposite side of a wall it's fired against.

if you love the shotgun i have the gun for you.......... its the jackhammer or as i call it the n00bhammer its in a game called planetside its triple barlled and can shot all barlles in close succsesstion or sinlge shot, another gun from that game is the chaingun 300 rounds per clip and its just the joy of cutting a crowd of people in half.. but my true love is the knife; killing someone with a knife or bashing them is about the worst insult to any player, i dont have to say anything you know you were killed and its the bigest slap in the face in any game.

Sorry bout that. I ended up adding the shotgun and switching my rocket launcher entry for the green blob gun from UT. Not my favorite, but close to the top in my book. I love seeing the stickies explode. Besides being able to lay them on the ceiling of any hall you're passing through. That gun was great.

Other guns can be ruined in some games but what gun always stays deadily would be the shotgun, so it has my vote. How can you not have fun blowing someone back with it and getting everything in its path because the spread is so wide. Gotta love it :hugegrin:

lol :p:It's really awesome to Snipe the computer bots on Face I in the original UT. You simply stay high-up on your tower and just snipe them as they spawn. You can get soo many monster kills that way hehe

Yea the bullpup is CS was amazing. Thing killed like crazy. The only gun that I found that rapid-shoots while sniping :). That gun was so fun.

rogue spear is my game o' choice. In that game the single greatest weapon is the HK MP5-K-PDW. Combining a nice spray & rapid fire rate, it's an excellent close range - medium range weapon.

In CS terms, I love the AUG.

And my favourite shooter, the specialists, is a half life mod: ww.specialistsmod.net in which we can dive, flip, superjump and do lots of stunts, and in which it's not the weapon in hand but the weapon total (weight) that matter in player speed.

I have a lot of favourite weapons for that mod:
-Five Seven with silencer (they won't know what hit 'em. Plus it goes through walls!)
-Katana (dive 'n slice)
-Steyr TMP (faster spray rate than mp5)
-Sawed-Off Shotgun (get close, get frags!)
