I need to format a system with NT4.0 installed.

I want to install Win 98. NT wont let me use the 98 boot disk I have. It tells me to remove the disk at start up instead of booting to the A: drive. Have changed boot sequence to boot to a: first but it just wont boot to it.

Any ideas?

Thanks
Dave

You sure the disk you have is a valid boot disk? It sounds like the disk may be bad. Make sure floppy boot is enabled in the BIOS, some BIOS have a way of disabling floppy boot.

Cheers!

I haven't played with NT for a while, if you switch it to CD-ROM boot first, can't it load the OS itself? As far as 2k goes, it'll format itself.
