i am working on a web site and i going to make it so people can choose the design they want.

but i am not sure how much to charge for. there are a couple of things that i am going to have seperate from the site and if they want it they can buy it for extra money

Simple html site with 5 pages . $$$?
Flash Intro.$$?
Web Poll $$?
GuestBook$$?
Counter$$?

and some diffrent things.

some one please help.

Alex, no offense, but do you think you're ready to be charging people for design jobs? When I started out designing, I was doing stuff for free just to get my name out there.

It depends on your skills. If you are top notch then you can charge more, if you are mediocre then you would want to charge less.

I charge about $25-50 per page.

For setting up a message-board I charge an extra $50

Guestbook- extra $25

Flash Intro- depends on the amount of time put into it. i would say about $25-75.

Thats what I used to charge. I charge slightly more now. :)

i have been using front page for 3 years and right now i am learning photo shop. i am also pretty good with html

Yeah... I design a lot too (btw fellas, one of my freelance jobs was on the telly 2 days ago! :beam: )

I charged almost nothing... but the new site I'm making with my cousin is for a celeb, so THAT we'll charge for...


but, start out slow, get a reputation... ;)

the web site i am working on now is 10% done and i might post it this week. i still need to get the pricing page done and also work on the menu and the main page.

Well, what i did at first was charge very little for a whole site. Everything. I did my best work and got my name out, and now, with every client, I up the price, until I can get a set price laid out for each and every client.

Eilsoe what was the freelance work you did that went on the television? Is it aired all over the US?
