Ok I have 7 installed now. and I want to upgrade to CS. But I do not want to have to go back in and re-install all my filters and such. so how can I do this? I dont want both of them on my machine 7 and cs. Is there anyway to preserve the filters folder when I uninstall 7? maybe copy the contents into the CS folder?

Thats exactly what I did for my brushes and such. Just install CS, copy and paste the brush files over to the CS brushes folder, and then uninstall 7. Not sure if it would work for filters though... hope that helps.

some of my filters do the registry thing I think.....so I am not sure if that is the case with filters.

you can make a copy of the plugin folder from v7 and im pretty sure it will work if you drop them in CS. most filters are organised in folders so it should be no problem.
registry might need to be updated, might have pathing issues.

not sure, though even with the install ones im sure it should work if you make a copy into the cs plugin folder, i believe that all the setup.exe does is allocate files to your destination (eg photoshop plugin folder). Maybe check the adobe forums or the plugins Q&A tosee , i would figure this would a common question.
