Usually the words...
"Come on you dumb piece of **** work!"

*lol*... Yeah.. Backing up is typically a good thing...
I keep anything important on cd-rw's... Makes for great libraries of cds and it's not that bad.. Just do it.. every week or after doing smething big.. Or downloading somehting big.. Later you will thank yourself...
Before we got the new motherboard and everything in it.. I called it "Putt Putt" (the sound old cars make when they go slowly down the road.. *lol*)
But Now I call it "Z-Ram" or Marz backwords... Kind-a sounds cool :)

from another thread: My comp (Frankenstein) is a true Clydesdale. It doesn't have a case, just the frame, you start it by touching 2 wires together, but I still talk nice to it, make sure he gets his inoculations, make sure his fish are fed (my screensaver is a saltwater fish tank)... I even pasted a picture of the view from my apt. in Hawaii to the front, so he won't scare the cat...
When I need to speak tersley, I may call him "BoltNeck," or "SpareParts." But I would never call him "A GD Left Handed SOB" (my grandfather's fav phrase)... ever...

? Thats too cute! If someone told me that Id giggle, look down at my feet as I was brushing one foot side to side with my handslocked behind my back and say *giggle* "ok!"
Bastard is a start, but little as a prefix totally makes it adorable. And the primary users of the word "thump" are Bambi fans and cute little 6 yr old girls. I mean its not a bad word to use, its just too cute. computers dont respond well (ie. negatively) to cute. You need to throw some cursing and screaming in there. Look at Jubba and playamarz for example:
'stupid piece of ****'
'...dumb piece of ****'
certain phrases which are sure to make the computer hate you and eventually stop working for you altogether out of spite.
Morse also uses bastard pretty well
'stupid bastard'
I have a feeling he'll have a hard-drive crash in a week or so. I mean look at jubba now!!
You, on the other hand, Kitiara, will haev no problems since you are too nice to your computer, calling it cute things which could quite possibly turn most men on *cough* ...
so in conclusion, I suggest go all out and use as many foul, un-cute adjectives as possible when giving some where-for to your computer. That way.... your computer... will... not like you and... crash? no wait. That doesnt make sense at all...
BE NICE TO YOUR COMPUTER

It hurts, but it feels good afterwards...
Sometimes I just flip the power switch, just to show I'm still in charge ;)

Ah, I am a lady and have been brought up never to use abusive language.
Nah, who am I kidding? :)
I don't tend to swear at my computer, I just sort of mutter "oh for ****s sake..." a lot. :)
Oh, and are you American? Because I the word "thump" is fairly common in England. Or at least in my bit of it... Er...
I'll get me coat.

How about:
"daft wally"
?
Those are two terms youd never here in the states but from what I understand its not good.

Yep... "Daft" means thick or stupid and "wally" is another term for plonker. Although you guys probably don't say plonker either, right? How about twit? Nitwit? Fool? Imbecile? That's what "wally" means... They're quite tame really compared to some of the stuff we come out with. :)
