some of the spacing and text crispness is a little iffy, but other than that I think the site looks great. The concept is great too, I haven't seen many sites that look like that, it has a definite original style which is always nice to see. Great job!

Thanks .......I would agree with you on the text. That is one of the areas that I am soon to be tackling. I previosly fixed the text in the profile....section, so I just have to bust out the rest of the fixes ...... Thanks for the feedback.........

I'm not sure if this is a personal site, business site, or more likely a combination of both, but I'd say since you're looking for a job, it's a little strange for a potential employer to see things like "status: single" on the home page.
Also, having that unique type of sub-nav on the home page (Profiile, Skills, Awards, Resume) makes sense there, though it's at odds with the style of the sub-navigation for all the other pages (where it falls between the two horizontal lines) - I guess it works, since the Home section kind of stands on its own, but I'd prefer seeing all the sub-navigation options done in the same style.
Another personal preference - I like the idea of having a section title header (like "Media Selection: Banners") in some way different from the text used for navigation - a different color, larger, on a different colored background. I know it animates when it comes out (and that looks great), but once it's onscreen, it's not significantly different visually from the navigation, and that makes the navigation somewhat less apparent.
And, no matter how obvious you think it is (especially to Flash-loving designers), having the red-square mystery menu at the upper left is guaranteed to lose you some visitors. Even a crude blinking-sign-style "MENU" or "NAVIGATION" header in the white space where the mouseover text appears, before the user mouses in that area, would be helpful.
On the positive side, I think the layout and entire look and feel, the transitions, mouseovers, graphic samples' buttons, animation, and overall site performance - all look great and function well - very nice work, I look forward to seeing it when it's complete.

Thanks for the critique....The site is actually a personal site. I agree with you that I need to make the navigation more noticable. I am in the process now of adding some text that lets the user know the blinking squares are the navigation......As you suggested.
The sub navigation on the home page I wanted to be a bit unique from the rest of the layout. This is because of the desired functionality i wanted to introduce........ As for the other sub nav sections.....like in gallery.......I have an idea to make them more noticable...implimentation of this is soon.
Thanks again for your honesty. It is well noted and I agree with the concerns. I was out of the game for almost 5 months while i was focusing on management duties while I was at 321 studios, so it has been that long since i have even worked on a site, let alone flash. Now I'm back in the game....

You're welcome - I gotcha - I really do think it looks excellent, though. You're very far along, just a few things I'd change if it were me, and some of those, like I said, are just my own preferences. You're definitely back in the game.
Good luck with the site - I'll check it out in a day or two to see your updates.

nice slick site overall,
i think theres too many different types of fonts, try to stick to 2 or 3 at the most to keep the site more unified. also, im thinking you should take out the airbrush bit in your portfolio. all your work is extremely professional but i think the airbrush photos bring the whole look of your work down a notch.

The site is awesome... but the gradients are just horrid.

Thanks for ya'lls honesty......
krl55....thanks for the shout yo
danielthelion..........the fonts. I only used a varient of 3 or 4 different fonts, but I think I agree with you. I need to unify more....but that was my goal and I completly understand what you are sayin. The airbrush pieces are part of my abbilites.....I think if i left them out out i would be doing myself an injustice. I guess if you think they suck thats a personal opinion....but I appreciate your honesty.
t3h t3rminator.........glad you like the site. Sorry you don't like the gradients. if they were all over the place and always changing then I think i would agree with you. but the use is simple, generates a commonground between static and movement. thanks for your feedback tho.
Ive made a lot of changes since the first reply to this post using the feedback as a gauge as to what needed to be fixed.
thanks for the true feelins....more and all is welcome

The site looks great, although the navigation could be a little bit more obvious... but that's something that was said already...
