Hey guys,
I don't about y'all, but I'm in highschool, and we have a class called Information Management. Now in this class all we do is learn to type without looking at the keyboard. Those stupid home row keys, you know.
Well, I'm so sick of that class, but one funny thing I do is I just spend lots of time in kirupa when the teacher is across the room. :bandit:
Have or Do any of you guys take a class like this and get a GWAM assesment. GWAM is like how fast you can type with least amount of errors. It's a pretty annoying thing to master but if it matters, today I got a 87 GWAM! I think thats my fastest.
Average = 30 GWAM
Highschool stinks! thx +_+

lucky you... I just started MediaGraphics, and we're taking basic IT lesson (so everyone can follow up), we've learned to move and copy files, plus making folders :-/
And merit isn't given to IT... :m:
at least I got merit for Danish and English classes... it's at a 6th grade level.. :( I learned that YEARS ago... bah...
Mediagraphics only requires basic english and IT... I can't wait 'till design classes take over... just another few months of boooooring slavery... THEN it get's interesting. =)
So quit yer whining, there are people out there (me) who are worse off than you! :P

Whoa,
You sure got a point man. I should be happy I don't have to learn how to copy and create folders! Man I bet that is hell.
But still, I'm taking Graphic Arts at the moment, definetly a plus!
And going to take some scripting classes soon. Cant Wait!

We took typing class in 6th grade, and I was like the only one listening. I can get about 85-90 Words Per Minute with no Errors

I gave up on trying to go to college, since all my classes were basic, basic computer stuff.... we spent one, complete, solid week learning how to copy and drag files from folders to the desktop in windows XP. I think I spent every class period in the back of the class, VNCing into my computer at home, and doing stuff like Flash, working on my web sites, and typing my design doc....

lol. I learned typing on a typewriter.
The year I took it I broke my arm and they made me learn to type with one hand to get the credit. Needless to say it took a long time to learn how to type again after doing it for two months with one hand.
