Here is mine, pretty messy, I have a bad habbit of leaving files on my desktop when I'm working on them. Depending on the work load, my desktop could get extremely messing and cluttered. =)

I think thats pretty wild - that kind of 'ancient' (of sorts) acculturation of past photography in to your 'technology box'. Its nice to have something to keep you planted in what wasnt always the 'digital era'. And its a very nice photo as well :)

I like it clean and have a temp folder called "d e s k" to save all my work, best thing is tht it's a shortcut and base folder is in d drive, so i can format my system anytime widout thinkink of loosin any data as everything is saved on the other drive :!:

dont have much in taskbar too, as it slows down the refresh rate of ur system, so does a streached desktop wallpaper :tb:

well its not green in real, u can call it a very faint whitish creamish kinda grayish shade or somethin like tht, i had to upload the image over here and image size was too big, so i modified it in photoshop and decreased the filesize, so may b tht's y its showin th color.

I used to use the adress bar in the taskbar all the time too... dont know why I dont anymore. Guess i just thought it took up to much space. But I had all my apps open with a 3 char command I could easily enter in the address bar to open (some install with one like aim, others don't so if you want that you'd have to edit the registry). It was great because anything opened with 4 clicks on the keyboard or (often) dropping down the address bar to access recent entries i.e. recent programs as to act like another start menu in a way ;)

I have no desktop background, and have no programs running in my system tray.

backgrounds, hidden processes, and programs in the system tray all suck up memory and slow the computer down.

I went and read all about it...... Even if it is smaller than explorer I dont know if I like the idea of putting more software on.

I have tried Windowsblinds and the like, but once the novelty has worn of what are you left with.
Hell I have even installed red hat 7-8-9 just so I could play with the GUI of KDE and Gnome. (all gone now)

Well I like my machine lean and mean......
Ha ha ha, I used to go through the entire computer deleting all the text files and help files and everything else that never gets used.....
But then i used to format my computer monthy.

Now I only do it every 3 months...... and I dont bother deleting txt and help files..... But I do install only the bare minimum XP stuff I use....

Im telling you liteshell is the way to go. Its great. No clutter at all. Just a plain screen and a click to get a menu. Super clean, super slick and super fast. Its not like you have to "install" it either. Just stick it in a folder somewhere and use it as your shell. If you dont want it, switch back to explorer.exe and ditch the folder. easy :beam: I use it on my 95 box and its the best thing since sliced bread.
