Final Fantasy XII !!! Another one!

Hey everyone!
I'm a huge Final Fantasy fan, and while looking through my NewType USA magazine, I spotted an article on Fianly Fantasy 12!

I've had the ingame material/video lying on my hdd for weeks... it is going to be SO cool... I REEEEALLY hope they've got aeons/summons/GF's/eidolons in this one too :thumb:


As far as I've heard it's going to be a mix in styles, one being FFIX, with it's fantasy-ish world.


also they're incorporation a new battle system.. dunno what yet...

It's supposed to be out in August.. dunno which country tho :sigh:

Well there's a new battle system for each game, so I'd assume this one's going to have something different to have to contend with. You know, having spent like, 2 years playing VII and getting my Materia combos perfect, to go into VIII and have the whole Draw thing just baffled me for a bit. :)

But the Summons always seem to be there in some form, which is great. I mean, where would we be without Shiva or Ifrit? Jeez, the first time I saw Bahamut in VII... Then Neo Bahamut, and Bahamut ZERO... :beam: Plus of course the ever amusing Choco-Mog (anyone else see the Fat Chocobo variation on that in VII? Funny as hell).

you can actually compare the systems of VII and IX, same ways of getting summons, in VII it was materia spheres/balls, in IX it's gems... I didn't like the way they did it in VIII, especially when you had to extract some in battle against a boss, that way you can't just go back and get it further into the story.. in IX, at least you get the eidolons automatically... except Ark.. I just need the second Pumice Piece now =)

I got it the last time I played it.. can't remember where it is now.. :-/

Darn! I didn't know it was already known, I was like ahh! FFXII?!
So everything is going to be different eh? Cant wait to see what squaresoft/enix does this time.
I've been up to my head in playing Final Fantasy Tactics and FFIX and just doing so much, I haven't had any time to some of my usual 'game research' and reading magazines (EGM :thumb: )

it's actually amazing how FF games can steal your time.. the last few days I've been slamming in the disc and fired up the PS2, only to find myself falling asleep after 6+ hours of gaming... by then it's late night.. :P

I do it all the time :)

I really want VII and VIII for PSX too.. My PC versions are all screwed up.. plus there's the always meddling windows.. and installing the game and sh!t... I want the easy gaming.. CD in, play. no installing...

...I'm waiting on another FF with a job-system like V.
FF X-2 was close, but still lacking... I want them to step back a bit from all the Movie Length Cut-Scenes, and try to back up a little to some of their roots. They could make an awesome 80+ hour story, with characters who can change job classes and let people have lots of fun in general playing the game.

On another note, why don't they release a new, updated Tactics, for like PS2, or GameCube? With a new story, new jobs, and a lot more battles. I'm not liking the one for GBA too much... the whole Judge thing drives me nuts... I just wanna go up and hit the judge... :evil:

Been playing Tactics lots lately... :beam:
Kept losing my saves before, but I finally got past that battle when Wiegraf Turns into that Demon, and summons all the other demons in that castle, with the stairs.... I never got past it before the other day, now I'm on Chapter 4 for the first time. I've got 3 Ninja/Monks.... Two-Hand + Martial Arts = ROCK :D
Trying to get a Ninja Calculator (calculator with speed!), but I can't get anyone with the Math skill that can do anything...

Phew,
I was just playing some FFIX and I'm around mid-section of disc three. I got to the part when I have find three potions to try to change RegentCid back to normal. Unfourtuently, he became a frog... and that's where I leave it off for tomarrow!
Oh and thanks about my footer eilsoe, makes me smile :)
Currently in FFT, i have 103 missions completed and still trying to get a gunner! I can't figure it out! AHH! thx+_+

FFX-2 is finally out here! Hurrah! But it's £40! Aargh! Par for the course really, but a friend of a friend works for Game or something and can it for me cheaper so I'm holding on... :puzzle:

I actually hate to think of how many hours I've spent playing FF games. I've completed VI through to X, most of them twice through. First time to play it, second time to find all the bits I missed first time round. :) I've got I, II, IV and V to work through now on PS1...

I'm also liking the footer. Thought about doing a Final Fantasy one myself a while back but couldn't really fit in everything I wanted...

X-2 is pretty cool, haven't beaten it yet, at the last chapter, and my wife is running around through this secret, and reall, really, really hard dungeon, full of MegaTonberrys, and Ultima Weapons, among other, worse, things...

We decided to take a break, and started playing Animal Crossing, instead...

I have to play FFXII, I heard it was the best, but the graphics looked kind of awkward... I don't have PS2, only Xbox, so I never really could get in FFX or X-2. :(
I usually just go over friends houses and just watch them, so I can atleast understand the story. Who else here has FFT?
