Flip5Media is a website offering various web solutions that is taking shape. However, we would like to take some applications to build a more solid staff.

Flip5Media believes that each staff member can build a successful site on their own. However, we can get ahead of the game if each member can concentrate on what they are best at, and do that job very well. So we will be offering various positions that allow us, as a team, to build solid websites for various clients. One might be concerned about payment, and whether or not they will be paid accordingly.

Staff members will be paid based on what they do on each project. You will not be put on salary. We do not see it fair that one member builds an entire layout, but gets the same pay that someone, who was not even involved in the project, is paid. Payment will be negotiated with the client, and then immediately following, payment will be discussed with the staff and payment will be set in stone before work on the project begins. Be sure that you have a PayPal account to recieve payment in. Sending checks via the mail system is just not safe, and we will not practice this method of payment.

We will not be getting a large staff, but we will expand when necessary. Right now we are looking to fill spots for those that are profficient in graphics design, flash design, and coding/developing. If you are at all interested, please apply. We will keep all applications, and if in the future, we go looking for help, we will goto the older applications first.

You might be asking where our site is. We do not have one yet, because we want to develop one as a staff. If you get hired, the first project will be to develop the Flip5Media website. Will this be a paying job? No. One thing we have learned is that you have to invest to gain profit. I keep using "we" as a subject, and you might be wondering who the others are.

Currently the other member of staff is Kevin. Kevin is going to head the coding department. He specializes in PHP, but also does nicely in ActionScript. He is also good with Javascript. He has always been known to produce quality results in a profeessional and timely manner.

My name is Chris. I, along with Kevin, will be in charge of the site. I will oversee all operations and aspects of the site as well as possibly do work as a basic editor of the sites. I will be the one that discusses and negotiates clientwork and will also work to get clients in for us. I am good with Dreamweaver MX 2004, and am working towards learning Flash MX 2004, Photoshop, and Fireworks MX 2004.

Now Kevin and I are not adults, but rather teenagers working to earn extra money as well as gain experience in the field. So this is not a full-time job that one should rely on to pay bills with. Also, if you are not one that is on the computer much, and it is difficult to contact you, please do not apply. One of the only ways we'll have to contact you is through various messengers and email. If we can't get ahold of you, it will be difficult to work with you. This is probably one of the biggest things we'll consider when hiring.

However, if you are on the computer a lot and good with various aspects of web design, you are looking to gain experience, learn how to be apart of a team, and get some extra money possibly for college or just to be able to go out with friends on the weekend, then please apply.

Please have portfolio work to show us. Also, be prepared to setup an interview online (via a chatroom) with Kevin and I. Hiring will not be done on the spot.

We hope to hear from you soon.

Is there any way to contact you to get a little more information? Maybe on AIM? (I think chatting real time would be much more productive than PMing or E-mailing)

I'd rather not post my other contact information here on the forum. I'll PM my contact information to you, APDesign.

For anyone else interested, feel free to PM me and I will send you my contact information

I just thought I'd update people on the situation on Flip5media. We have hired two gfx designers, both of which have made great contributions to the site.

Site construction is underway. A layout has been made, sliced, and has had some basic code added. Flash effects have also been added as well. There is much left to be done, but the project is underway.

Flip5media.com has been purchased. So for those that thought maybe I wasn't serious, perhaps this is a bit more convincing? Personally I don't think buying a domain name shows much, but I've been told it does...

Kevin has been pretty busy lately, and has displayed to the group to not be the most reliable source. We are heading into a direction where deadlines are going to need to be met, and projects will need to be done in a timely manner, and he isn't doing so well at meeting up to these standards.

So we are looking for someone to fill his gap as a coder. We're looking for someone that is proficient in PHP/MySQL and someone that can slice and code layouts.

If you're interested, fill out an application. And as always, if you're interested, but not in a coding position, fill an application out anyway. I've kept all applications we're recieved on file and will go to these applications before going out to bring in new applications.

For anyone who has applied since my last post (the one stating that I had bought a domain), I am asking that you send in another application.

The e-mail in the form processing script was set to the wrong e-mail, so as a result, I haven't been getting the applications.

I hope you will re-apply.
