Looks good, although I am not too sure I dig the squares on the corners of the frame.

cool, not bad for a boredom piece, but I think it could use more detail around the frame. =)

also, i think it reads 'weddesign' instead of 'webdesign'... unless that's what you wanted :-\

Yes, it should be Webdesign not Weddesign :sigh:
Looks good, although I am not too sure I dig the squares on the corners of the frame.
I'm sorry lostinbeta, but i'm from Germany so maybe you could explain it more cleary..., cause my english isn't as good as it should be... ;P
@mdipi.com There's not really a bg behind the crystal, or? (-:
By the way, Version2 of my Page is online, but just in German. But in 1month there will be a english version too, because i'm doing an exchange to Portland, OR *happy*

Hey c!ryx, my german isn't as good as it should be (ok ok, you got me, it is horrible.... definitely), but.....
Ich denke daß die Quadrate auf dem Rand Aussehen Recht nicht. Sie scheinen, den natürlichen Ablauf des Bilds zu brechen. Ich denke, daß es besser mit Rechtwinkel Ecken anschauen dürfte.
If that makes sense (which is probably the case), I am sorry, and here is what I meant in English....lol.
I do not think that the squares on the corners look right (the ones that are rotated a bit and stuck on each of the four corners), they seem to break the natural flow of the image and I think it will look better with just right angled corners... sorta just like a regular frame.
mdipi: The wonders of creating your own patterns in Photoshop. That is probably how it was done :)

You can.
Open a new document with a transparent background.
Zoom in. Create your dot, Select the dot and the area around it. Go to Edit/Define Pattern. Then create a new layer and go to Edit/Fill and fill it with your pattern.
See attachment.

what space did you use though? like a 4x4? cause when i did mine it was like....a black box lol//

I zoomed in all the way and used the 1px pencil tool. I created a 2x2 box. Then I selected an area around it with the marquee tool. I would say my area was about 6x6 or so.

n1, how did you translate that lost?
I'll try to change the picture like you told me....
The dots are easy.... but cool. But crosses are also cool, like on the pictures of the faked moon landing ;p
@mdipi.com I prefer 10x10px to create patterns, but just try it. You'll like it.

This is an other cool splash art i did. Watch out for the pattern ;p

And if some of you guys would like to make a splash screen for my page, I would really appreciate it. It should be 600x150px ...

I speak a tiny bit of German myself. But considering my family originally comes from Germany, I should know more. I wasn't born there though.... so no wonder I don't. I know I get a lot of words mixed up, and sometimes I wonder what made me think to use a word....lol.
How was my translation? Good?, Bad?, Ok?, or just flat out horrible?
Your older splash is pretty cool. I like the red thing in the center. The text is a tiny bit hard to read with the black to white gradient. The black blends with the black background.

I think it is pretty good. Some words are really mixed up, but the sence is clear.
I'm born in Portland, OR but, just until I got 1 1/2 .... So I'm a really citizen ;p
The splash has a very big contrast between the black and the red, thats what makes it so interesting... ;p

Definite character with character...
Minored in German back in my college days. My best subject, always wanted to get over there and enjoy the culture first hand... maybe one day.

I think Germany is great for living and so on. I really like it. My town is middle sized, 14000 people and here is the headquater of adidas ;p
If some of you want to come over feel free to come by...
