Hey everyone,
Almost all of you should be getting a link in the e-mail to the site's newest feature - a monthly newsmagazine.

The URL is: http://www.kirupa.com/k2/Jan2004/index.htm

Cheers!

The first issue is a mod project just to see how it would turn out, but I am sure we all would not mind having future issues having articles, funny stuff, etc. done by everyone on the forums. We may even have a battle where the design of each magazine rotates each month.

That way you all won't have to put up with my obsession for pixel fonts and strange buildings haha every month :smirk:

da kine Sistah!

it cracked me up when I figured out I had reinvented the chocolate chip cookie... And it only took me about a week!

they are easy to modify as well.

use all granulated sugar, and you have a basic sugar cookie. add bscotch chips/pb chips/nuts/raisins/dried fruit... etc...

add 1/4 cup cocoa instead of the choc chips, and you have choc sugar cookies...

it is a very basic cookie recipe.

I usually only bake 1/2 of the dough, then wrap the rest in plastic wrap, and save it in the refer until I want fresh hot cookies again...

then, you can slice off what you want, and bake only a couple if you want. Like anyone would only bake a couple... really...

The great part, is that you don't have to write it down. It is always on the back of a 6 oz package of Nestle's choco chips...

:D

Sure - just PM me about what you are planning on contributing :) Syko - too much of a good thing is...a really awesome thing! I think we need up the usage of pixel fonts by about 200% haha.

 Stop, you all are making me hungry!

Yeah, right, like any of that leftover dough is actually going to make it into the fridge! Straight to the T.V. with a spoon I go!

I would suggest writing a submission, send it to Kirupa, and see what happens...

kinda like you would, if you were sending an article to the New Yorker, or something...

maybe MAD Magazine would have been a better analogy...

:)

Yeah - something light and fluffy. The kind of articles that aren't too serious but leave you with a warm feeling on the inside. Game tutorials do not belong on K2 - they belong on the site. A day in the life of a gamer who has stayed up 24 hours playing games, on the other hand, would go well in K2 :)
