One way to get a couple of cheap sites under your belt is to advertise in online games. Lots of clans need sites, but they most likely don't have much money. (Just a little tip lol, that's where I got some of my first business :))

Yea you are so right Yeld. I just picked up one from a clan on Rainbow Six 3. (their in first place, lol) So i can build a portfolio based on that.

The problem with that is, that most peple who play online games know what's going on with web design, and want a really really good site really really cheap.

My name is Josh Shaffer and I am an award-winning filmmaker from Long Island. I need FLASH animators who can put together roughly four minutes of FLASH animation for an upcoming project. Animation must be in my hands latest mid-August, so that's two and a half months, more than enough time for the material I need. Animation can be Flintstone style if needed, static body with moving facial expressions, arms and legs.
More info, script samples available, first let me know if you're interested.
Thanks

Hmmm. Sorry I don't think I can help you out. My focus is mainly web design, and interactivity. I try to stay away from animation if at all possible.
Thanks,

We would like a web site designer. We have a website but it isn't all that good. If interested email me at DiaboloMike90@yahoo.com , go to these 2 sites http://s7.invisionfree.com/TGG_Team_Forum/ or http://gamesguy.bravehost.com/Team.htm

Hey lermit,
Thanks for your interest. Unfortunatly, I am pretty busy at the moment. I can't help you out at the moment, but maybe later.
Tell me about the TGG team? What are they? What do they do?

TGG Team is a team that makes games. It stands for "that game guy", which is the nickname of the team leader. It has only started a few weeks ago. So far the team is just a forum, working on a story. I hope you will join the site later on.

Also you could shoot up the small band market. Thats how I got started. I was managing bands then they asked me to build their websites. Go to a local club or venue on local band night and hand out your card.
The nice thing about bands is that are willing to push the limites on what one can do with flash and webdesign in general.

WOW! that would be great. All you have to do is fill out the application at http://s7.invisionfree.com/TGG_Team_Forum/ and you can go to http://s7.invisionfree.com/TGG_Team_Forum/ to register. Also if you don't check your email often, you should. Most communication is based on email and if you don't reply after some time your gone. (it's happened before!)
