I got a chance to work a bit in Illustrator and here are two logo type things I came up with. Let me know what you think :)

1) 7 is not 1 who it is 7 whos ;) And maybe Phil knows what they are conspiring against, otherwise, I am not saying :x

2) Yeah, I hate inkblot tests too, they get old after a while ;)

Keep in mind I don't have Illustrator, so I don't really know how to use it, but when I get to try and use it I do my best with the little knowledge I have of the program.

1) that makes absolutely NO sense, 7 is not 1 who it is 7 whos ;)

i think you should expand the 7 one, its got more potential than the other one

lostinbeta
January 15th, 2003, 11:13 PM
LOL... it wasn't supposed to make sense :beam:

And well... they kinda have to stay the way they are because I don't have the program to edit or expand them :-\

ah yes, I remember these, but you never told me that you're going to use them as logos.

lostinbeta
January 16th, 2003, 02:51 AM
Well I didn't know if I was going to use them or not, but I decided that I did actually like them :beam:

I like the second one the most actually. It's one you have to look at closely to work out, and that gets you interested in what else there might be.

It's a hook, basically.

As long as you don't reel in a trout... :sure:

And Conspiracy of 7? Offspring did an album called Conspiracy of One, any connection or just coincidence? Otherwise it has to be related to Phil... :)

lostinbeta
January 16th, 2003, 12:21 PM
Nope, no relation to Offspring, I actually didn't even think of that. Conspiracy of 7 was a theme of one of my old site versions.

Lost, I think your server is down. Could you post these as downloads on the thread?

lostinbeta
January 16th, 2003, 10:37 PM
Yeah, my server is down :!:

That is surprising to me actually. My server is like never down. The only other time it was down, tech support notified that they were moving the server and that it would be down for a day or 2.

Well, Here is the attachment then :)

mdipi
January 17th, 2003, 05:18 PM

lostinbeta
January 17th, 2003, 05:20 PM
Oh... so it was a trial?

That happened with my Flash 5 trial....lol.

I didn't even get to use it!!!! I have used it for a tiny bit in school, doing basic tweens, just tacky stuff.

I downloaded the trial at home, then right after I downloaded it I noticed my time was off by an hour, went in to fix it, turns out it was off by a YEAR! (How it happened I have no clue), so I fixed it, and Flash wouldn't start. And if you try removing and reinstalling, it doesn't work :(

January 18th, 2003, 02:25 AM
Haha, my father purchased Flash 5 for me :P

Actually, it was so that I could render a couple hundred photos with it for his website.

Makaveli
January 18th, 2003, 12:14 PM
well the reason why you can't use it even when you reinstall the trial is because its registry keys are already in ur registry..... :bandit:

mdipi
January 18th, 2003, 12:16 PM

Yes I know that, and I did look for the registry key for it so I could reinstall the trial and actually use it, but apparently they hide it well because I couldn't find it anywhere :(

(and yes I know what I am doing in that department)

Mike:

If you want, go look for a registry cleaner (MS makes one, but it isn't very good), I use TweakNow...

You can then easily clean the registry without damage to your system, and it is XP compatible as well...

then you can reinstall, and get your full trial time to see if you want to buy the proggie...

just a work around, Illustrator is an industry standard, and should be learned if going into design...

Hey Rev: MS brought that back? A few months ago I went to get the RegCleaner from MS and they said they stopped supplying it (just like they did with the fonts that are on Windows, now if you lose them you have to buy them..... but I would rather reinstall them from the cd ;))

TweakNow eh? I might get that. I need a Registry Cleaner. I may know how to work the registry, but I don't know what keys are useless other than once for uninstalled programs I have.

mdipi
January 18th, 2003, 05:53 PM
sweet maybe i will try that...and i cant harm my system? cause i dont trust myself otherwise...lol. so i take it these are teh same guys as TweakUI?

I love messing with my registry. I PURCHASED a game called roller coaster tycoon, and I messed with my registry so you dont have to use the cd. its quite nice not to :)

I mess with my registry all the time. Not to do anything illegal.

Well technically changing the background of the toolbar in IE is illegal, but screw em, I am not doing anything harmful. It doesn't cost them anything.

for cleaning my registry i use RegHealer or something like that....its awsome..... :!:

LOL!!!!!!

Well my networking teacher was glad I knew how to edit the registry because it helped him get rid of a virus that was spreading through the network.

And yeah, I remove my viruses on my own, so sometimes it helps to know the registry. There are just some areas I don't go to in there though. For fear of crashing my system..lol.

there's a whole heap of stuff you can do to make various things better in windoze, some make it run faster, others just get rid of irritating stuff etc...

my bro d/l'ed a whole list of things, so he did all them

personally i wouldn't touch the registry if you don't know much about it, because you can easily screw things up, esp if you just wander round aimlessly in there:bandit:

its funny how a thread about lob's logos has turned into a discussion on registry editing :)

anyways, i always mess with registry too...especially when i know i am going to reformat, i mess up everything on comp possible!! :o its fun deleting files you know are crucial to windows...sorta like striking back at M$

LOL... yes it is quite amazing how most threads get way off topic in 5 minutes or less.
