I want to make it so an Image gradually fades, like a transparency gradient. Can this be obtained in Photoshop CS?
Thanx for your time. Mike

make a gradient as a mask (100%-0%)

if you use a mask as a gradient, anything black with be transparent, so you can just make a mask, use the default colours ( press d) then make sure the mask is selected in your layers by clicking on it. Draw out the mask, then to refine it use Levels on the mask layer.

sorry for bringing up an old topic but in PS, it seems like clipping masks dont work the same as lets say Flash masks... I mean instead of jut confining the masked obejects in the space the mask layer provides, it also screws with the masked items colors and stuff. Is there a way to make just a normal mask in PS? Thanks

Mike
