Rollover buttons? Do you like them...?

I need an opinion on the buttons on this site.

Do you like the rollover effect? Where the text flips? Don't pay attention to the white boxes, I still have to write the PHP for those files...

I am only really looking for opinions on the rollover effect of the buttons, and let me know how it looks on different resolutions...

I am not too sure I like it that much :-\ I think it leaves too much open area of yellow and then has a bunch up area of text.

Well I'm just experimenting w/ it right now. I want to use Pixel Fonts so they are sharp looking, but the Pixel fonts tend to be small and it leaves a lot of yellow space. I'm trying to figure out a way to overcome this problem... any suggestions lost?

It made me want to follow the text with my mouse when it moves...

You can try a bigger pixel font Something like the Standard_xx series at www.miniml.com You can get the whole alphabet and numbers for free in their fonts section at the top under the link "free" (of course).

No problem. I use the standard font on my next version of my site.

Speaking of that I should get working on that :-\

i think the buttons will be much better if it stayed in place during rollover.. Just make the font change color.. or make just the background lit or something..

don't like the pixelfont. The one in your header is much better
and fits the subject perfectly. You're talking about a skatesite no?

I like the idea, but it just don't seem practical to me, I wanted to follow the text with the mouse too:beam:. perhaps you could animate the text to flip like a skateboard and land back in position upside down?

No I didn't like them much either. I had the same problem as Rev. I also didn't like how it jsut jumped to where it whs going.

I guess I am going to buck the system and say I did like them. It is different. And it fits with what you have going on there. Skateboarders are normally different (in a good way) and I think your target audience will dig it. Maybe just dont make them jump so far to the right. hahahahaha......if you abandon this idea it might just get used by a certain someone:bandit: :cool:

All in all it fits the subject matter keep it.
