I just bought a second monitor (19" ViewSonic) to compliment my 21" Trinitron. Although my video card supports dual monitors (Radeon 9700 Pro), I flipped my computer around and I don't have a spot to plug it in. Is there a splitter or something that I need?

If your Radeon 9700 Pro does support it, then it should have two VGA outputs on the video card itself. A splitter in this case won't help because it'll just duplicate the signal so both of the monitors would show the same thing.

If the second input is only a DVI port, then theres no use, you can't use it. It'll be either the VGA or DVI. Double check your Radeon card and make sure it says it can do dual-monitors.

Good luck with that, I'm afraid my helping hand has reached far enough.

just plug the second monitor's cable into the vga-dvi adapter, then the adapter into the dvi port.
my radeon 9500 pro came with a vga-dvi adapter so I'm assuming your card did too.
