First Flash site

Ok guys can you give me an opinion on my first flash site

ok, some things are nice and some things aren't! :)

the overal site layout is nice.
the preloader is not! the colours are badly chosen and make ruin the rest of the site. make it with the same colour scheme as the site.

the site overal colours are nice.
the "back" button is not! again it doesnt suite the site and feels like you through it together in a second.

the background colour is disgusting! :D you used a greenish blue for the welcome box, why not use that type pof colour for the background? quit using internet freindly colours. :D

some of the text is the wrong colour and possitoned wrong.

its not finished, you have a lot of tweeking and adding little details to do, but its nice. great for your first site.


remember, choose a colour theme and stick with it. dont just close your eyes and chuck any old colour down, choosing the rights colours are as important as the site its self.

site's like a powerpoint presentation. Too static i mean.
i'd add some animations and/or transitions.

i would definetely agree, You used metal colors for the preloader and you used blue as bg, not a good combo.
Though the images and buttons are nice :)

ohh yeh there called primary colors arent they? god havent done art at skool in ages :)

This aint bad at all for a first flash site, Aint bad at ALL!

one thing I would like to see, could you have it so that the jpeg pics open up inside flash itself rather than another window?

Also, make the preloader much smaller for aesthetic reasons. Often smaller is better when it comes to flash

Ps I was up in Durham for the new year. Superb city.

thanks for the feed back guys im pleased to get some outside opinions, i have to say that when i got a fair way through it i found different ways that i should hav edone things but i guess thats part of the learning process, But i enjoy it anyway.
