Hey, Ive been using the resources here to great effect, but have come up with this question.

Is it possible to have movie clips with differing FPS in one file?

For example, if i wanted to have the general pace fairly slow, but also have a movie clip to rapidly cycle something (more times per second than the movie it is set in)

Or is the only way to do this by using a high FPS setting all round and just using more frames for the slow things, or by actionscript somehow?

Cheers guys

Having a set FPS rate as a setting in Flash... no.

However there is a work around using setInterval() (introduced in FMX)

So I know this is posted in the Flash 5 section, but if you have Flash MX run a search on the forum for something like "setInterval() frame rate" and you should be able to find what you are looking for since it was answered quite a few times before.

Otherwise... nope, sorry :(

You're right.

Normally i'm not so retarded, it must have been late and i must have been getting annoyed with something.

Oh, and im a newbie... So that might have something to do with it

Still, if anyone ever wants any chemistry questions answered...

Cheers for the help guys.
