:q: I HAD A RESPONSE YESTERDAY ON HOW I SHOULD PLACE MY MOVIE ON A CD IF I WERE TO COPY FOR OTHERS TO VIEW .
AND A MEMBER SUGGESTED I OUTPUT THE FLASH AS AN "EXE"
DOES THAT MEAN WHEN I PUBLISH THE MOVIE I CHOOSE EXE ONLY AND THEN THAT IS WHAT I COPY ON THE CD?
WILL THIS RUN SMOOTHLY FOR PC AND MAC USERS??????????
ALSO HE SUGGESTED I MAKE IT AN AUTORUN ON THE CD ..........
HOW DO I DO THAT???????????
PLSE ANYONE WITH THE KNOWLEDGE!!!
THANX

.exe's cannot run on the mac. You ahve to export mac stuff via the "Mac Projector" and the PC stuff as an exe.

As for the autorun, it will only work on a PC this way, but lets face it, Macs have the cd load right there on the desktop and dont really need the autorun.

How to do an autorun:

1. create a text file and name it "Autorun.inf"
2. inside it, use this:
[Autorun]
open="whateverthemovieiscalled.exe
icon="whateverthemovieiscalled.ico

put this in the SAME PLACE as the exe file, and it should work no problemo

hey Putch I sent you an email with a question about the mac projector.
Also I remembe another question where do I create the autrun file?
and should the wording have two quotes in the code?
your response: open="whateverthemovieiscalled.exe
should it read : open="whateverthemovieiscalled.exe"?
not sure if it matters. also when I publish the exe and the mac projector along with the autorun file do I just burn those items on the cd ?
Oh may be this is a stupid question but what do you mean by the macs having the cd load on the desktop?

when you put a cd rom into a macintosh, unlike the PC, the cd rom icon appears on the macintosh desktop. You clikc on the icon, and you are on your way.

create the autorun file in any text creator. The quotes do not need to be there. Dont put them there.

And yes, burn everything to a cd rom and it should work fine.
