"My trip to Asia begins here in Japan for an important reason. It begins here because for a century and a half now, America and Japan have formed one of the great and enduring alliances of modern times. From that alliance has come an era of peace in the Pacific." —George W. Bush, who apparently forgot about a little something called World War II, Tokyo, Feb. 18, 2002

Fooled me once, shame on you...
Funny you should say that Phil. Did you see the speach where he couldn't get this quote right when talking about Iraq. I laughed for about a half hour. He just couldn't get the words out. Does he not right this stuff down before he goes to make a speach.

Does he not right this stuff down before he goes to make a speach.
I read a site that proposed an interesting theory about Bush..
i believe i found the link at corpust.com, but im not sure...
anyway, this site theorized that Dubya is not as stupid as most people think. The problem is that they base this assumption on the fact that he is a bad public speaker at times. But the owner of this site pointed out that Bush has the most trouble speaking when its about something he couldn't give two squirts of piss about, i.e. Health care, education, and family values. But watch him talk about war, 9-11, and terrorism and the brother is on-point. It made sense to me....
and yes, i was duped into voting 'R' last election...
it's too bad we were prevented from voting 'JFK Jr. in 2000'
