I just switched to 2000 yesterday. I've used it in the past, but this time around, I'm experiencing some problems. Every once in a while, I get an error that deals with svchost.exe. It shuts it down and makes an error log somewhere. Then basically, main functions of my computer freezes until I restart. Has anyone ever heard of this problem? It's really driving me nuts because I can't install Flash or any Macromedia products.

Hmm... svchost.exe.... Do you often check your drives for Spyware and all that junk?

Google came up with too many possibilities. And I've installed Spybot and AVG, nothing. I didn't think so because I just did a clean format, there is no way for me to have downloaded something already. I don't use Kazaa and certainly don't download stuff I don't know.

It's a legal copy alright. My dad bought it a long time ago. We just never bothered to use it that much. I was using 98 at the time we bought it and right after we got 2000, we got ME also for some weird reason.
