It looks like an alien mothership beaming something down to the ground. :)

The "ray" actually shoots up from the ground, "hunny" :)

I knew that. Alright then, they're beaming something up. Or someone. Cyborg Angels, perhaps. :sure:

Whatever it is, it looks very good. The ball thing that's floating in the air is really excellent, with all those swirly colours and all. Photoshop job? I would ask what you did to make it, but I don't think I could ever quite get it. :)

The green orb is from a tut called "fortune galss orb" or something like that, from www.thewebmachine.com .

The rest is just gradients, and brushstrokes and blurring and sh*t...

Not for me... I try doing anything like that and it looks like someone had a fit with the mouse. All sorts of weird things...

That web machine site is pretty good though - I had a look at it and there's about a million text tutorials. :) Very handy for Photoshop lamebrains like myself.

It's like my mouse has a mind of it's own. Ahhh, now that could be where I'm going wrong. I'm using a <i>real</i> mouse... :sigh:
