That is pretty darn cool. Plus the load time was pretty short for me, and I am on dial up here at work. :)
Cheers!

Where's the charm. Enemies, multiple routes? Sonic's speed comes from his interactions with the environment and not just from holding left or right. And why put horizontal to vertical ramps that do nothing?
I admit it's very solid. More solid than even I hope to ever create but where's the effort in the level design? Why the heck does it have a part where you have to jump onto tiny moving platforms. When did you ever have to endure that in a sonic game (except chemical plant zone)? Levels in sonic games should be like a fluid which sonic flows along, their design so impeccably calculated so that you will only stop when you need to. The level I played didn't even seem to be part of a coherant universe.
I didn't want to overly critisise it as it is very solid and quite fun to play but it's almost completely devoid of creativity (the water baths were nice and the push block was well timed though).
Actually I'm just mad because I was banned from the college computers for playing it.

I think its only supposed to be a demonstration of the game engine and not the complete game, either that or its the first level in early development .
Any which way its obvoius this isn't the finished thing, there's no end to the level (unless I missed it?) and if you read the updates below you'll see they're still adding the graphics tiles and interactivity features

I found a bug :P
The hola hoop at the end of the demo. When you go 1/4 way round and then turn round a go back you fall thow the loop.

hola hoop?
I remain slightely critical on this game. I'd like to see some working ramps and a real sense of inertia. It does have promise but so many sonic 'fangames' (which I can only assume this is) end up being a 'hold right and watch sonic go very fast along flat and 45 degree floors until the end appears. I hope this game will be different (I also hope they get rid of that sonic spinball sprite. It sticks out like a sore thumb). But I do eagerly look forward to how the robotnik battles will turn out. And enemies. I want to hurt things!
And I forgive it now that my college account has been restored.
