Using imported pics

Ok, I am REALLY new to this, and was working on my first flash animation, and I wanted to use a pic that I found online, thing is, I only wanna use the head. Photoshop only seems to want to let me save it as a 4 sided image ( cant cut off all the edges around the head ). When I import it into flash, I cant erase the edges, and I cant even draw over the head itself ! Its like some omnipotent god image that I cant mess with, I can only drag it around on the screen... There must be a way to cut off those edges and make it so that I can draw over the image, can anyone fill me in?

break the image apart, and you can edit it in Flash.

It does, however, drastically increase your file size.

But it will allow you to select the image with the eyedropper and use it as a bitmap fill...

Ahhhhh thanks a ton, I was going to go insane staring at that image playing trial and error =)
