Hello everybody,

Today I decided to get rid of some spyware. So I ran Ad-Aware, and it found 63 spyware files. Ok, no problem, but one of them reported a possible virus infection in some "shell open" command in the registry.

So I ran AVG 6.0 Free Edition, and indeed it found a virus, called JS/Psyme. I can't seem to find any info about this one. And I know AVG 6.0 is good at detecting viruses, but not removing them, so I doubt it'll be able to get rid of it (it's still scanning now).

Can anyone provide some info about this virus ? And maybe some instructions on how to remove it ... thanks :)

The november 14th update of AVG should be able to get rid of it, but I don't know how that would work since you have the free version....

Thanks guys :) The virus was in the temporary internet files, so nothing to worry about :)
