well, here you are. This is my first CG and illustration work .
this was done using Flash MX . and my scanner and hand .
This is the Pencil Work [ The Concept ] :
http://www.omanserv.com/aura/images/arabic_world_concept.gif

The CG :
http://www.omanserv.com/aura/images/arabic_world.gif

here are the steps .
1- I drawed the image by pencil , then made some lines darker and sharper using a pan .
2- I scanned the image . then resized it . and exported as GIF from Fireworks .
3- Imported it in Flash MX .
4- using the pen tool and the lines tool in Flash i drawd it again by the mouse . i went over the lines of my hand drawing .
5- then started the hardest bit . [ choosing the colors which go with each other .
6- made alit of all the colors that i am going to use in coloring of the image .
7- Then started the coloring of the image .

So what do you think of ma First CG work ?. do you think i should continu or stop ?

for your first attempt it looks pretty **** fine to me. Good work. :)

Keep at it.

BTW what's with all these people asking if they should continue doing stuff....if you enjoy it, do it. Don't question wether you are good enough.

looks pretty cool :)
i think u should add a bit of shadow under the shelter or something so it doesnt look liek its floating in the air!

I think you've done a great job with this, especially since it's a firs attempt. The vector looks really cleanly done as well, and you've made a good choice with the colours. :)

very nice! not much I can comment on, it is amazing work :thumb:

one thing that i would suggest is making a character, maybe an old guy with hardly any teeth, the kind of guy who opens his coat and has like 50 watches and wants to sell them to you. that would be awesome, and I think it would fit in nicely :D

This one actually looks better to my mind. :)

Maybe it's because of the mist, or the blending of colours that are all a very similar shade. It just works very well for me. :)

Looking at it, I'd say that it might be an idea to define more where the material joins onto the wall. Or rather, how it's fixed to the wall. And I know you said no comments about the shadow, but I think this is the only other thing that might need work. :)

looks great, but maybe lighten up the mist just a little bit (put it on a little lower opacity or something)

great job once again

In my CGs, i delete lines like the line tutorial of Kirupa. Generally, that kinda thing results to a better picture. I dont know if you tried that. But you should also try and see which one is better. Because it changes from picture to picture.

Dog-E : i didnt try removing lines . but i will try it . ;) .
i thought of macking this style with the lines on ., cause i think the image will look better .
i will try removing the lines then i will see which is better . :) thanks for the idea .

hmm...the only complaint i have on both of them is that the canapy doesnt seem to be meeting the wall, it jsut looks like it is floating there sub sometimes i dont see it touching, yet it is coming out at me if that makes any sense. otherwise its top notch stuff, very crisp :thumb:
